  1. I’m not married yet, but I know a couple of friends that have been to couple’s counseling services. I’m guessing that by the time people are considering couple’s counseling things can be pretty bad. It make sense that it might be a good idea to meet weekly for four to six weeks to get a better understanding of what some of the underlying issues might be and how to address them. I think you also make a great point about how longer time between sessions can cause couples to quit counseling services prematurely. I’ll have to keep that in mind if I ever find myself in need of couple’s counseling.

      Thanks for taking the time to comment! Often it’s the couples who don’t think things are that bad who never fully commit to getting the most out of couples therapy. Glad to be a resource for helping people be successful in their couples counseling.
